Degree candidates of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing will receive their diplomas at 5:30 pm Saturday, December 13th at United Supermarkets Arena.

Doors are scheduled to open for guests 1 hour prior to the start of the ceremony. 

The Clear-Bag Policyis in effect for all ceremonies. Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12", or small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, not to exceed 4 ½ x 6 ½ inches, may be taken into the venue. An exception may be made for medically necessary items upon inspection.

As reminder, noise makers, helium balloons, wrapped gifts, and banners are prohibited to help maintain the dignity of this special occasion. 

Please note that while posters are permitted inside the facility for commencement events, they must be smaller than shoulder width, have no stick/pole attachments, or glitter. Posters and signs are subject to visual inspection. Anything with political/social messaging is prohibited.

The arena is a concealed handgun license (CHL) exclusionary zone for this event (guns free zone). Open carry is prohibited at all arena events. The arena is a no smoking venue.

Light concessions (sodas, water, candy) will be available for purchase on the concourse; One unopened bottle of water may be brought into the venue per guest. Other outside food and drink is not permitted in the venue.

IMPORTANT PARKING & TRAFFIC INFORMATION:

Graduates and their guests are strongly encouraged to carpool and to plan to arrive early.

Please plan for a significant increase in traffic volume, and allow plenty of time to park and to avoid last-minute traffic congestion and lines at the door.

Free parking is available in the student commuter lots west (across Indiana Avenue), accessible from the Texas Tech Parkway & Knoxville. Free parking will also be available in the lots south and southeast of the arena.

ADA parking is located in the Arena's west R37 lot (accessible by Indiana Avenue, approaching from south of 19th street), with overflow into the arena’s north C11 parking lot (accessible by way of Main street, travelling west from Flint Avenue).
